Eucharist
"The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch." - Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1324
First Communion
Children at St. Gabriel typically receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in December of their second-grade year, and make their First Communion in May (older children are welcome to prepare too!). The preparation events and at-home curriculum are designed to give you and your child a deeper understanding of Reconciliation and Eucharist, and their value in our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. All children must also be enrolled in a Catholic school or the Elementary Faith Formation program at St. Gabriel during their sacrament year.
