Safe Environment

Safe Environment at St Gabriel Catholic Church

The safety of our parishioners, especially our children and vulnerable adults, is of paramount importance to us. Our parish is committed to creating a safe environment for everyone and we are dedicated to following the Safe Environment guidelines set forth by the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Essential 3

As part of our commitment to protecting the most vulnerable among us, all employees and all volunteers in parish leadership as well as volunteers who have regular or unsupervised contact with minor children, the elderly, or vulnerable adults are required to undergo a Safe Environment credentialing process commonly referred to as the "Essential 3".

The Essential 3 components include:

  1. A background check.
  2. Reading and agreeing to adhere to a Code of Conduct.
  3. Safe Environment training delivered online through Virtus.org.
