Confirmation
"Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, those who have been born anew in baptism receive the inexpressible Gift, the Holy Spirit Himself, by which they are endowed with special strength. Moreover, having received the character of this sacrament, they are bound more intimately to the Church and they are more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith both by word and deed as true witnesses of Christ." - St. Pope Paul VI, Apostolic Constitution Divinae Consortium Naturae, 1971.
Confirmation of Youth
The youth of St. Gabriel are typically confirmed in the spring of their 8th grade year. Older youth who have not yet been confirmed are also welcomed to join the program. Candidates from both public and Catholic schools must participate in the parish program held on Wednesday evenings.
