COVID-19 & Mass

SPECIAL NOTICE: Effective immediately, all Extraordinary Ministers

of Holy Communion will wear masks while distributing Communion at all weekend Masses.

The Archbishop has reinstated the obligation of Catholics to attend Mass in person on Sundays (or Saturday evenings).

  • Masks are no longer required at Mass or any other parish activity or event. Of course, you are welcome to continue wearing a mask if you wish.
  • We now use all pews for seating.
  • We resumed having people come forward in lines to receive Communion.
  • We no longer stream daily Mass. We will continue to stream the Saturday Vigil Mass for the foreseeable future. Live streams are viewable on our website: HERE, on our facebook page, and on YouTube (search for St. Gabriel the Archangel-Hopkins).

Safety Information

  • Please stay home if you are sick or symptomatic.
  • Anyone age 65+ or with a compromised immune system should carefully weigh the risks and make a prudent decision about attending Mass in person.
